Everything Back
Hey everyone. I just wanted to let you know the server switch was successfull, and everything is running better than ever. I hope to have all the stuff that came out (such as pictures, our interview, etc.) while we had all the problems. Look forward to some awesome new features in the upcoming months Posted by Robby on 09-29-2004 @ 6:01:37 pm | comments: 7 | submit news |
Spoiler
Well, I'm right again. The first thing I was right about was the character that died in the first chapter of Eldest. Earlier today Kenneth Paolini posted a small spoiler, but it let me know that my prediction was right. It's about the leader of the Varden. If you want to know what Kenneth said, highlight the below text.
Nasuada is the one leading the Varden.
I say no more.
Thanks to Hito for the tip! Posted by Robby on 09-12-2004 @ 1:56:47 am | comments: 0 | submit news |
Maui Writer's Conference
Christopher Paolini is currently at the Maui Writer's Conference, which started on Thursday, the 2, and will end this Monday, the 6. Kenneth Paolini, who so graciously informs us of everything Eragon related, is with him. He says there will be a report when they get back . . . let's hope there are pictures too!

Updates
Hey everyone. After over a month, I've finally updated. Sorry for the long wait; I know I'm not giving a lot. More content will be made by the end of the week when we switch to the new server. I've added the KOL Radio recording from this past Friday to the audio page. Thanks to Mike for getting that. I've also added a Magical Abilities page and some more fan art. More stuff will be added by the end of the week. Look forward to that. Posted by Robby on 08-29-2004 @ 5:07:34 pm | comments: 0 | submit news |
No Novelo Appearance
Some of you may remember that Christopher was planning on attending the Novelo Book Festival. I'm sorry to say that it has recently been announced that Christopher has canceled on them. I had been thinking about going; boy am I glad I didn't book it! To get the scoop on this, click here. Posted by Robby on 08-19-2004 @ 1:30:26 am | comments: 3 | submit news |

Autographed DE's
Kenneth Paolini has let us know of the only bookstore that is selling autographed copies of the Deluxe Edition. Here's what he had to say.
Country Bookshelf in Bozeman, Montana has autographed copies of the Deluxe Edition. They can be acquired for $18.95 plus shipping. Call Jill, Mary, or any of the good folks there at (406) 587-0166. At the moment, Country Bookshelf is the only bookstore with signed copies.

Below you can find links to two pictures of the display in that store.

New Contest On OS
There's a new contest on the official site, and this one actually involved some work on your behalf. What you have to do is write poem about Eragon; it cannot be more than 100 words. The poem can be any kind you like, but it must be submitted by December 31, 2004. Here's a little of what they had to say.
Christopher Paolini himself will select the grand-prize winner, who will receive an original piece of art; a signed advance copy of Eldest, Book Two in the Inheritance Trilogy; and an autographed deluxe edition of Eragon!
Wow! Whoever ends up winning will be one lucky person. I hope it's me! To read more about it, click here, or if you want to go directly to the official rules, click here. It's in PDF format, but I plan to add a text version here for those that can't view it. Posted by Robby on 08-10-2004 @ 6:53:47 pm | comments: 4 | submit news |
Eragon Ad in Teen People
Thanks to Brisingr, we have a scan of an Eragon ad that recently appeared in Teen People magazine. To view the the ad, click here.
On a side note, the Deluxe Edition of Eragon was released all across the United States today. Posted by Robby on 08-10-2004 @ 6:47:21 pm | comments: 0 | submit news |
Deluxe Edition
As you can probably tell from the headline, this has to do with the deluxe edition of Eragon. Well, I got mine yesterday, and after reading it 10+ times, I've come to a conclusion: the first chapter of Eldest is definitely a cliffhanger. However, if you were debating whether or not to get it, you should. I think it's definitely worth the money. Below you can see two [scary] pictures of me with the book.

D.E. Release
|
|
|
Hey everyone. It's occurred to me that many of you may not know the release date of the Deluxe Eragon Edition. We had originally reported it to be released on August 11, but the correct date is August 10. We aren't sure if the date was changed or if we just had our facts wrong. Below is what Kenneth Paolini had to say.
We have a copy of the Deluxe Edition. It is sitting three feet from me. There is a gold foil box around the Palencar art on the cover. There is a circular gold foil stamp that says "Deluxe Edition--Excerpt from Eldest BOOK TWO IN THE TRILOGY. Exclusive Foldout map. New art by the author. Expanded language guide."
There are thirteen pages of new language guide material, followed by the eight pages of the first chapter of Eldest.
The foldout map is perforated-bound at the back of the book. It measures 16 inches by 19.5 inches. On the backside of the map, there is Christopher's artwork of Eragon's sword, Zar'roc, which measures 5 inches by 8 inches.
The release date for the Eragon Deluxe Edition is August 10, 2004. It has the same ISBN as the existing edition of Eragon.
Also, thanks to Kenneth Paolini, we now have the first, full size image of the Deluxe Edition cover. Posted by Robby on 08-04-2004 @ 4:14:20 pm | comments: 0 | submit news |
