Skulblaka Scriptures
Welcome to my column, Skulblaka Scriptures. I’m Amanda, an aspiring young writer who is infinitely pleased to be writing for all of you! I’ve just finished my freshman year in college and am looking forward to a summer of work and writing. Perhaps you’ve noticed that “Skulblaka” is the ancient Alagaesian word for “dragon. ” My hope is for this column to focus on the representation of dragons throughout historical and modern literature. Expect book suggestions and reviews, but especially an in-depth look at how the dragons of Alagaesia fit into the wide world of dragons, which spans centuries of texts and imaginations.
